Is Your Water Killing You?

Strange question, you might say, given that there is no life without water. Plant life and animal life alike are dependent upon an adequate water supply for survival. It is interesting to note that even though our bodies are about 80 % water, and the rest of the body comes from food, most doctors don’t even ask or talk about this crucial element. Is water not affecting our health? And if it is, how so?

Most processes in our body happen through the exchange of water. There are water channels in our cell membranes, water transports nutrients, vitamins, minerals, and wastes to and from the cells, water helps maintain blood pressure, water is necessary to make lymph where our immune cells get produced, water is necessary to have a smooth, beautiful skin, and water is what buffers our brain inside the skull. Truth is, without water, there is no life.

Most bodily processes start to malfunction when there is not enough water in the body. When urine becomes too concentrated, kidney stones can develop. When there is not enough water in the bloodstream, blood pressure can drop, and blood can become more viscous (sticky), potentially leading to heart attacks. When water is missing in or around our cells, the delicate osmotic balance can get upset, and the cells start to shrivel, age and die. Read more here.

How Much Sunshine Is In Your Life?

Here is another one of those medical half-truths cleverly designed to keep you sick - sunlight causes skin cancer!

The sun was revered for many centuries, throughout the cultures, as a god – it is, indeed, the source of all life. Without sunlight, life would not exist on planet Earth. Yet, over the last century, we have taken steps to shut it out of our lives. We started working indoors in offices devoid of windows and traveling from place to place in covered vehicles. Whenever we go out into the sun, we lather on thick layers of sunscreen, and conventional medicine has convinced us that the sun is a monster-like creature that gives us skin cancer… – Really?

Let’s look at the facts. Read more here.

Emotional Health: The Key to Healing the Impossible?

If you believe that “ignorance is bliss”, don’t read this article. Here you will get the truth, that is, if you can handle it. What follows in the next few paragraphs has the potential to radically change your life. The CDC states that 85 % of all [physical] diseases have an emotional component; other experts claim that this number may be as high as 100 %! It is no longer a secret that our physical health is deeply connected to our mental projections and beliefs. While this may scare many who are not ready to take responsibility for how they feel, what they think, and their beliefs about their world, it is also hugely powerful, putting the power back in our hands. Through our choices of how we deal with our thoughts and emotions, we are responsible for and truly in control of our health and well-being.

Cleaning Your Temple

Have you ever wondered if true health is possible for you? Maybe you have tried many different things, orthodox and non-orthodox, and nothing seems to have helped. Sure, maybe some of your symptoms are less severe, but at the same time, those medications have created new disagreeable symptoms somewhere else. There just seems to be no good solution to your condition.

If that’s you, you’re not alone. But that doesn’t mean you can’t become part of the circle of those who have been able to recover their health in what seemed the most hopeless situations. Healing is possible. We are meant to heal. We have an innate healing capacity – that inner strength that closes and heals up wounds, that regenerates every tissue in our body, that inner life force that allows us to breathe and makes your eyes shine.

Have you ever asked yourself how your body would look like if you didn’t shower for a while? What about a week without showering or bathing? A month? A year? Not a pretty thought, right? Well, when is the last time you cleaned your inner body, your gut and liver?

Poop Matters!

I have always wondered why Naturopathic Doctors are so interested in “poop”. It is curious, to say the least. It made me think of an old and very wise doctor in Germany who once told me, that if any other therapy fails, treat the gut and the liver. I heard of “miracle cures” where cod liver oil and lemon juice seemed to cure helpless situations. And I started wondering what all these things might have in common.

Having worked with some of the most well-known and best Naturopathic Physicians for the last 3 years, I have come to understand why almost every patient they see is asked about their digestion and digestive health, as well as their bowel movements. Feces and other gastrointestinal symptoms actually give us a clue as to the health of the intestines, and the health of the intestines is so much more important than I ever imagined. I came to understand that almost ALL common diseases or ailments are either directly caused by, and definitely aggravated by, gut dysfunction.
